Winery Trail

A new half-mile long side trail now connects the Cowiche Canyon Trail with the The Tasting Room Washington (formerly Wilridge Winery) on Naches Heights.  Winemaker Paul Beveridge has planted an organic vineyard and uses a biodynamic approach to growing a number of different grape varieties just above the north rim of Cowiche Canyon and has recently developed this into a cooperative venture offering wines from a variety of Washington State wineries.

The winery is located in a 1900's era farmhouse and features over 25 wines for tasting (Thursday to Monday).  Adjacent to the winery are bike trails around the 85-acre property, scenic vistas, and picnic areas.

CCC and The Tasting Room Washington have teamed up to create this connecting trail.  It can be used by hikers and mountain bikers to access the winery and viewpoint areas or as part of a bike trip through the canyon bottom and looping up and around to Naches Heights Road.  The new trail intersects Cowiche Canyon Trail just west of the Uplands Trail junction, next to the concrete footbridge over Cowiche Creek (the trail is a few yards west of bridge 8; 1.75 miles downstream from Weikel).

We are a nonprofit organization and completely reliant on our donors, members, volunteers, and partners to accomplish our goals.  If you are not already a member of the Cowiche Conservancy - and you believe in our mission - we invite you to join us in this work by giving a one-time donation or becoming a member today.
